OpenNAS is a NAS (Network-Attached Storage) server, supporting all of the following: CIFS (samba), FTP, NFS, AFP, RSYNC, iSCSI protocols, S.M.A.R.T. disk monitoring, local user authentication, and Software RAID (0,1,5,6,10,50). OpenNAS supports Infiniband, IP over IEEE 1394, and Gig-E fiber or copper. Our newest appliance supports up to 11.95TB (Terabytes) RAID6 on a 10 disk span, and 192GB memory in a single 2U form factor. OpenNAS makes the perfect backend for VPS Hosting, Databases, Application Server Backend, or just good safe fault-tolerant network attached storage.
